Aston Magic are proud to present their Star Party package. This is an amazing presentation on astronomy. Each star party uses state of the art planetarium software, slides, sounds and music, plus a variety of telescopes. This gives the audience an indoor guided tour around our solar system and the universe.
If the presentation is given in the evening, and the night is clear and dry, then after the presentation, the audience are able to go outside and view the heavens using the telescopes and other optical devices, which will be brought along and set up for the star party. If a star party is held during the autumn and winter months then guests should be advised to wrap up warm, as star gazing is fun but it can get pretty cold out there. The star party can make an unusual addition to an evenings social gathering but it is equally at home as an after school's club event or for a women's institute special meeting. This is an ideal opportunity to give your guests, or that special child, a unique hands on experience of astronomy and searching the night sky. It may even lead someone to a new and exciting hobby which could last them a lifetime. |
| For schools groups, there is also a hands on workshop, where the students can construct simple astronomical instruments and also do some experiments with rockets. |
