Aston Magic can offer a wide range of training courses, lectures, team building days and hands-on workshops, for schools, colleges and industry. We also give special lectures and hands on workshops for women's institutes. For larger groups we will bring in extra instructors to give a better student to instructor ratio.

Many of our workshops such as Origami or juggling, may be used for stress management. Team building days and magical away days can be organised on various topics, where participants learn to work together and build their interpersonal skills.

The contents of the hands-on workshops and lectures can be tailored to fit the requirements of schools working to the National Curriculum. The magical marketing course has become very popular in recent months and needs to be booked early to ensure that the dates which you require are available.

At present Aston Magic offer the following:

Magical marketing	1 day training course and hands-on workshop for groups. Teaches sales and marketing people how to market their company and products using magical techniques. Students take home resource packs are included in the price of the course.
Basic magic skills	2 hour demonstration and hands-on workshop. This is good for building self confidence and stress management. Many companies book this as a lunch time event for their employees to get them away from their desks.
Basic sleight of hand	2 hour demonstration and hands-on workshop. This has proved beneficial to people with learning difficulties.
Intermediate magic skills	Private tuition for individuals, comprises six 1-2 hour sessions over a six week period. Reaches entry level to most magical clubs and societies.

Play in a day guitar workshop	Special 2 hour hands-on workshop for schools. Uses the three chord trick system to teach students how to tune and play a guitar.
Bubble magic	Special 2 hour presentation and hands-on workshop for schools on soap bubbles. Great for outdoors, each student is shown how to create different types of bubbles and various techniques and mixtures for producing their own spherical creations. A very creative and rewarding experience for all who take part.
Water rockets	Special 2 hour presentation and hands on workshop for schools, on how to make and launch your own, water powered lemonade bottle rockets. This is a great science project as various subjects can be brought into the workshop, such as height calculations using the theorem of Pythagoras, aeronautics and telemetry to name but a few. At the end of the workshop the schools are given three valve units to continue their research after the workshop. Full attention is given to safety throughout this workshop.
Puppetry for beginners	Special 2 hour demonstration and hands-on workshop for schools. Students design and build their own puppet. All equipment and take home materials supplied.
Advanced puppetry	Special 2 hour demonstration and hands-on workshop for schools. Glove, rod, and string puppets plus ethnic origins and history. All equipment and take home materials supplied.
Basic balloon sculpture	Special 2 hour demonstration and hands-on workshop teaches basic balloon skills and modelling styles. All materials and equipment are supplied.
Advanced balloon sculpture	2 hour demonstration and hands-on workshop Builds on the basic balloon workshop to include multi-balloon sculptures and a variety of balloon types. All materials and equipment are supplied.
The history and origins of magical entertainment	Presentation and hands-on workshop for Women's Institutes and similar groups. This also includes a slide presentation featuring the secrets of the Magic Circle headquarters in London. This is proving very popular and must be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Games workshop	This covers a wide range of indoor and outdoor games. 3 hour session, presentation and hands-on workshop for teachers and anyone working with children and young people, such as scout and guide leaders. For up to twelve students. Includes take home training manual for each student.
